II MEDITERRANEAN FRUIT DAY

On 18.5.2023. In 2016, the second Mediterranean Fruit Day was held in Blagaj near Mostar, within the project "Improvement of cherry production in Herzegovina", organized by the newly founded Cluster of Mediterranean Fruit Producers and the "Herzegovinian Cherry" brand.
The goal of this traditional event was to point out the development potentials made possible by the cultivation of Mediterranean fruits in Herzegovina, primarily based on the example of cherry cultivation in Herzegovina.
The topic of creating awareness about the importance of domestic agriculture was dealt with in a creative way with elementary school students from Bosnia and Herzegovina who were awarded for their creative content. A promotional video for Mediterranean fruit presented through the tourist content of the Blagaj region was shown for the first time.
The panel discussion discussed solar energy and agriculture, as well as the trends and requirements of the modern market, and at the very end, the "Biggest Cherry of Herzegovina" award was given.
Professors and students of the Agro-Mediterranean Faculty of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar took part in the Mediterranean Fruit Day.
