Held Green Day

The Agro-Mediterranean Faculty of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar is on Thursday, July 13, 2023. , organized the "GREEN DAY" event on the plateau of the Faculty. A large number of visitors, lovers of plants, had the opportunity to see the plant assortment produced by the students of the Faculty of Agriculture in cooperation with their teachers. as part of practical classes during the previous academic year.

All visitors, according to their choice, received seedlings of medicinal, spice and ornamental plants, as well as vegetable seedlings, and the idea is to turn "GREEN DAY" into a traditional annual event.

In addition to the desire for the public to become familiar with the work of the students of this Faculty, the idea was also to contribute in this way to raising awareness of the importance of own plant production.

In the time of major climate changes, globalization, loss of fertile agricultural land and the threat of food shortages, own production on balconies, gardens, yards... is gaining more and more importance every day.

The faculty collective orders to those who decide on this type of their own production , to be available for instructions and advice and thank all visitors for taking the time and with their presence to give importance to this small, but praiseworthy activity of the students and collectives of the Faculty of Agriculture.
