for enrollment of the first generation of students in the doctoral study in the field of Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Agromediterranean, University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar

 

Name of the study : Doctoral study in the field of Agricultural Sciences

Level:   Third cycle of studies

Model : 3 + 2 + 3 (third cycle lasting three years)

Number of ECTS credits : 180 ECTS

Type of study : Academic studies

Title : Doctor of Agricultural Sciences

Field of education : Biotechnical sciences, Scientific field: Agriculture

Mode of delivery : Full-time studies, at the headquarters, lasting six semesters

Doctoral study price : 15,000.00 KM (2,500 KM per semester)

The doctoral study, lasting six semesters, will be conducted at   modules :

  1. Ecology and environmental protection
  2. Genetics and plant breeding
  3. Ornamental plants and landscape architecture
  4. Plant production and processing
  5. Viticulture and winemaking
  6. Fruit growing.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

 

  1. conditions of enrollment in the study program
  2. completed the study of the second cycle, in which the candidate achieved 300 ECTS credits, acquired the academic title of Master of Science in Agriculture (Agronomy) with a minimum average grade of 8.00.
  3. According to the previously valid regulations, he obtained the academic title of Master of Science in the field of Agriculture (Agronomy) with the lowest average grade of 8.00. Such candidates may enroll directly in the third semester of postgraduate doctoral study, in an appropriate related field.
  4. According to the previously valid regulations, a specialist study in the field of Agriculture (Agronomy) was completed with the lowest average grade of 8.00, with the obligation to take the difference in the subject.
  5. Completed the study referred to in indent (a) or indent (c) or acquired the title referred to in indent (b) with a minimum average grade of 7.0 with two recommendations from subject teachers from previous cycles attended by the candidate.
  6. Completed the study referred to in indent (a) or indent (c) or acquired the title referred to in indent (b) provided that the candidate has two least published scientific papers, at least one of which has been published in an international journal indexed in CC, SCI or SCIExp and at least one paper publicly presented at an international scientific conference.
  7. Candidates in the titles at the level of graduate engineer in the field of Agriculture (Agronomy), who want to enroll in the appropriate related field, and who have acquired their titles on the basis of study programs started according to the old education system, have the right to apply for the study. If it can be established that such candidates have acquired additional knowledge on the basis of published scientific research papers or by attending and passing exams within the postgraduate master's study started according to the old education system and enrolling in the proposed doctoral study, they can be allowed to start studies. up to 30 ECTS credits based on the comparison of acquired knowledge and compulsory subjects in the proposed study. The exact number of ECTS credits, which are recognized to the candidate as equivalent to the acquired knowledge, is prescribed by the Doctoral Study Council for each candidate individually.
  8. Candidates with a completed graduate study in the field of technical sciences, in which the candidate has achieved 300 ECTS credits, and which is not related to the field he / she wants to enroll in the postgraduate doctoral study, can apply for the postgraduate doctoral study.
  9. Candidates in the titles at the level of graduate engineer and master of technical sciences according to the old system of education, which is not related to the field he wants to enroll in the postgraduate doctoral study, can also apply for the postgraduate doctoral study.
  10. Candidates with a completed graduate study in the scientific field of natural sciences can also apply for the postgraduate doctoral study.
  11. Candidates who have completed the study from indent (g) or indent (h) or indent (i) with regard to the acquired competencies, the Doctoral Study Council may prescribe the obligation to enroll and take the appropriate number for doctoral study of relevant subjects from the graduate study of the selected field. Acquired competencies are determined from the diploma supplement;

All candidates should have knowledge of English or another foreign language important for the field of study.

  1. conditions of transfer from other study programs

The planned structure and organization of the doctoral program, based on the ECTS credit system, enables openness and mobility of students:

  • students of this study can enroll in courses at other appropriate programs at the University, as well as at other universities in the country and abroad;
  • students of other doctoral programs that are performed in other studies may enroll in courses of this doctoral program;
  • the possibility of enrollment is open to experts from other fields of biotechnical sciences.

Along with the application for the Competition for enrollment in the first year in which the selected module is stated, the candidate is obliged to submit the following documents:

  • biography with description of professional and scientific activity;
  • birth certificate (certified copy);
  • certificate of citizenship (not older than 6 months);
  • passport or other adequate document for foreign citizens (certified copy);
  • diploma of completed VII / 1 degree or graduate academic study or postgraduate scientific master's study (certified copies);
  • certificate of passed exams with average grades from previous study cycles; (original);
  • two recommendations of subject teachers from previous cycles of studies that the candidate attended (original), if necessary for enrollment;
  • decision on diploma nostrification (certified copy), if diploma nostrification has been performed;
  • proof of knowledge of a foreign language;
  • other documents in accordance with the Rules of study in the III cycle of studies and obtaining the title of Doctor of Science at the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, published on the website of the University.

The decision on the final number of candidates for doctoral studies in the field of Agricultural Sciences at the Faculty of Agro-Mediterranean University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar will be made by the Council of Doctoral Studies of the Faculty.

The competition remains open for 15 days from the day of publication in the newspaper "Dnevni Avaz" and on the website of the University www.unmo.ba.
