Mission

In order to maintain, but also renew ties with all generations of students, for whom the Faculty of Agromediterranean was the home higher education institution, the Alumni Association was founded as a kind of association of all those who graduated, master's or doctoral at the Faculty of Agromediterranean University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar.

By establishing a lasting connection with its current students, the Faculty of Agromediterranean seeks to follow the good experience and practice of other higher education institutions, which have already tried their hand at this important endeavor. Organized connection of graduates of the same profession, as well as establishing a continuous connection with the home faculty is a mission that is historically based (it is common to say that alumni associations are as old as universities), but it does not lose its relevance even in modern times. Guided by the same mission, the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Agromediterranean strives to act accordingly, and visionarily, setting realistic goals.

Vision and goal

The mission of the Alumni Association, as a kind of global network of former students of the Faculty of Agriculture, is based on the vision of preserving the tradition of the Faculty, and further affirmation and promotion of its reputation, both in our country and in the region. At the same time, the establishment of a sustainable community of the Faculty and alumni, but also the development of cooperation among alumni, in terms of exchange of knowledge and business experiences, contributes to the improvement of their professional capacities and social life. Ultimately, the imperative task of all participants in this large community is, as deputies of agronomy, to act in the direction of maintaining, but also affirming the place and reputation of the agricultural profession in general.

The main goals of the existence and work of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Agromediterranean are:

• improving the educational and scientific activities of the Faculty of Agromediterranean, in terms of having timely and useful information that can be offered by members of the Alumni Association;

• informing the members of the Alumni Association about all development plans and programs of education, so that they could, based on practical experience, influence the design of the development strategy of the Faculty;

• providing communication between the members of the Association, with the aim of engaging in various forms of activities (round tables, conferences, seminars, etc.), which will address agricultural and wider economic issues;

• achieving and maintaining a continuous, and multifaceted connection between the scientific community and the wider business environment;

• affirmation of scientific-research work of alumni through the realization of agricultural projects, socially useful projects, publishing, etc .;

• establishing cooperation with similar Alumni Associations in the country and the region.

It is to be expected that the list of goals, with the improvement and popularization of the work of the Club, will be continuously and permanently expanded.
