It is time to sow / plant this vegetable outdoors

The end of April and the beginning of May is the time for sowing and planting important vegetable crops in the open (garden, orchard, field). Especially important vegetable crops for our areas that are now sown and planted are fruit vegetables from the family Solonaceae (Assistants) and Cucurbitaceae (pumpkin family).

Although these plants belong to different families, they have a lot of similarities both from a biological and agrotechnical point of view.

Biologically, these plants are extremely heat-loving, require a lot of light, and are very sensitive to low temperatures. If the environmental conditions are not favorable, it is better to postpone planting even though it is the calendar time for planting.

Agrotechnically, these are crops that require high quality soil (structural and fertile soils), abundant nutrition and mandatory application of irrigation. They are also sensitive to a large number of plant pathogens and pests, which cause them great damage during cultivation.
